CAPTURE DOS SCREENSHOTS IN JUST 7 SECONDS… Finally your query gets solved..


So you have a project work at your college or any other institution/s involving JAVA, C, C++ or any other DOS oriented application.. and you are really worried about the screenshots.. well you should be.. Remember how the time you wasted in googling or ask’ing the web for a solution??
But result – ZERO.. Nothing..
Now while you are here, I have the complete solution to the screenshot query you have…
You would require an open source tool (DOSBOX). Download it by searching on your desired search engine.
After u download follow these steps..
Step 1.
Double click on DOSBOX icon (on Desktop or Start Menu) to start the application.
Once the application starts the following screen appears.
Step 2.
You would see the open dialog that a virtual Z:\ drive is accessed..
Well here u have to do the following:
Type MOUNT C C:\   , where C is the drive where your project is saved.
Refer to the image below.
Step 3.
Go to the folder where the files are located.
refer image.
Step 4. Open the file and execute the file.
Then take a screenshot of the windowed execution of your project work by pressing PRINTSCREEN button on your Keyboard.
Step 5.
Paste the copied image on PAINT.
Open PAINT by going to START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > PAINT.
Step 6.
Save the image with the desired name and format.
 
Its over… repeat the steps to get as many screenshots u want..

Forgot Windows XP LOGIN Password --- Reset it in 7 Seconds...

Forgot your Windows XP Login Password??
as a result thinking of Formatting your hardDrive...!!!


Halt this formatting idea for sometime...
as TechDatabase lists THREE easy ways to RESET your LOST PASSWORD...


Finally the wait is over... Here I present not one, not two but three ways to reset your forgotten WINDOWS XP PROF. password.


The 3 options you have are:
1. LUSRMGR.MSC
2. CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2
3. NET USER ADMINISTRATOR /RANDOM

All the above will work from an user having administrator rights.

Option 1.
LUSRMGR.MSC

So here’s what u have to do..
Step 1.
Click on START and then on RUN.



Step 2.

In RUN just type LUSRMGR.MSC



Step 3.
This page shows the Local Users and Groups dialog.
Then a right mouse click on the user whose passwords is to be resetted shows up the next dialog in the next step.



Step 4.
A general info. Dialog opens. Click on PROCEED to go further.



Step 5.
In this dialog the new password is to be provided twice then click on OK…



Step 6.
Voila the password has been changed.

Option 2.

CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2


Step 1.
Click on START and then on RUN.


Step 2.
In RUN just type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2




Step 3.
This page shows the User Accounts dialog.
Then selecting the user whose passwords is to be resetted and then clicking on RESET PASSWORD… shows up the next dialog in the next step.



Step 4.


In this dialog the new password is to be provided twice then click on OK…


Voila the password has been changed.

Option 3.

NET USER ADMINISTRATOR /RANDOM


Step 1.
Click on START and then on RUN.


Step 2.
In RUN just type CMD to open the Command Prompt.


Step 3.
This page shows the Command Prompt dialog. Type CD\ to go to the root directory.




Step 4.
Then typing NET USER ADMINISTRATOR /RANDOM shows up the next dialog in the next step.



Here is the temporary password which would enable you to login to the account to be resetted. After logging in you are free to change your password to a desired one.
That’s it…
Your password has been resetted…

Now u can actually recharge your Prepaid account Yourself withour going to the Recharge shop.. though only a meagre amount of Rs.10 only.. and that too when u have a positive balance of less than Rs.5.


Thinking whats the CATCH..Read this..

" Each time you use Chhota Credit, Rs 10 will be credited to your balance for a period of 7 days and this amount along with a transaction fee of Re 1 will be adjusted against your next recharge. You can make use of Chhota Credit if you have been with us for more than 3 months and have balance validity of more than 7 days. "

Well there's nothing written on how many times we can use this CREDIT at a stretch..!!! Notorious brains thinking of some money saving techniques??

AN ALTERNATIVE TO STARTUP BIOS PASSWORD --- SYSKEY.EXE

+ Many of us who have been victim of data theft, forgery, illegal access know the value of using computers as a bank “safe”. Yes its true that in a PC you cannot store valuables like cash or jewellery but the computer can be well used as for storing your “keys” to your valuables...

Yes, you guessed it right --- PASSWORDS. Many of us store Passwords and Important information on a PC. Now a day around cent percent of offices, institutions, banks or any commercial organization use computers to keep a account and records of transactions, company details etc. With the integrity of information, arises the requirement of security, HARD CORE SECURITY.

Many of us use third party software like (Winlocker, Bootlocker etc) in order to safeguard the booting process of Windows. These software snakes the system in the booting process ask for a password to continue the booting process. Some of these softwares much smarter than they look. They send user data once the system has booted though emails if the user is connected to the internet.. Then what happens we all know. Is there any alternative???...

Yes there is !!!
GOTO Start >> Run >> type SYSKEY
The following window opens.:




Click on UPDATE and select PASSWORD STARTUP:
Enter your desired password twice in the boxes provided and finally clicking on OK saves the settings. From the next time you boot your system a popup opens (just after the Windows XP Boot up animation) asking for password to continue.

The update window appears as below.:

+ Right click on desktop >> Properties >> ‘Screen Saver’ Tab >> “3D Flying Objects” adjusting wait time >> Apply and Ok.





Above is the screensaver you get... RIGHT!!

Well this is just one object style among 6 others... No the others are not hidden, it is to be selected from the drop down menu of the “ SETTINGS “ popup.

TIP::
Right click on desktop >> Properties >> ‘Screen Saver’ Tab >> “3D Flying Objects” >> SETTINGS >> under ‘Style’ you will get the other 6 >> Select, Apply and Ok.

I know it very well that the theme of my blog (techDatabase) is not at all unique as there are many well acclaimed bloggers who write around the same theme (technology news etc.).
